About Me

Hi! I'm Brooklyn Gentry

I'm a CG character animator currently based in Nashville, TN. I love telling stories that share hope and joy with the world. I'm also passionate about the community that these stories create, both in the audience and in the production team.

I have experience animating and working on several award winning short films, including "The Legend of Bill" which won awards at festivals like the Grand Motoring Film Festival, the LA Animated Film Festival, and the French Duck Film Festival. I had the opportunity to directed my own short film, Empty Nets, collaborating with a team of around 35 people to create a compelling film within the tight deadlines.

While studying under the mentorship of my professors at Lipscomb University, I have developed my expertise in creating authentic and entertaining performances through the animation principles. In my capstone project I expanded upon these animation skills by delving into performance with believable physical motion, weight, and timing. Through this project I have challenged myself to use my knowledge of the animation principles to drive story into every shot. My background in theater acting allows me to bring expressive performances to my animation. I’m excited for how these skills could benefit your team!

Besides animating, I enjoy filling my time with movies, board games and rock climbing.

Have a great day!
